As you are hopefully now aware, there have been significant and exciting changes to Soar Valley Music Centre as an organisation over the summer. We, the Trustees, working closely with FRAEC, are keen to find new ways to raise funds and promote the work of the Music Centre. With the economic climate being as it is, we need to look further afield than just the family and friends of existing members.
Our hope and aim is to raise sufficient funds to:
* Subsidise Music Centre tours to keep the costs for participants down;
* Help with the costs of putting on the annual musical theatre production;
* Offer financial assistance to students who need help with lessons or exam fees.
To this end we are asking you all to think how you can help:
Do you, or anyone you know, work for or have connections with a company or organisation that could sponsor us? Could we help them promote their business or entertain their clients in exchange for a donation or the chance to busk? Do you have connections with influential people, be they celebrities or community leaders, who could be able to help us?
Could you help us in practical ways?
* Building maintenance?
* Tuck shop?
* Helping with set building for the musical theatre production?
* Running repairs?
* Could you find out about village fete's,galas or street fairs at which we could fund raise or perform?
