Welcome to Soar Valley Music Centre. We are a charity which aims to bring training in music and media to everyone and anyone. We work mainly, but not exclusively, with young people.
Over the years Soar Valley Music Centre has trained thousands of young people from all backgrounds and given them a route into the industry. The charity now offers projects and courses for all kinds of people from those coming from a youth offending background, to young people at risk, young people with barriers to learning, those who don’t go to school or are at risk of exclusion, as well as talented young musicians seeking dynamic and specialised support. Our Senior String Quartet is at this moment at the Allegromosso European Festival as the invited music group to represent Great Britain at this prestigious Music Festival. One group from each of the 25 European countries has been invited to play at the festival which is held in Italy. The quartet are performing as a group in two venues and four performances over the three days as well as taking part in the Opening and Closing ceremonies with Beth being invited to carry the British flag in the Opening parade.
Once again we our hosting a fun-filled day of activities and crafts on Monday 7th May to raise vital funds for Soar Valley Music Centre and this year promises to be bigger and better than the last. Parking and Entry to the Farm day is FREE!!!!
There will be a plethora of activities going on throughout the day ranging from Wood Carving, Pets Corner and Crafts. Alongside fun games for all the family, including bouncy castles and face painting.
Live Music will be provided by Soar Valley Music Centre with the promise of performances from the Orchestra, Big Band, several string and woodwind Quartets and many individual singer/songwriters. Alongside a one-off special performance from the cast of Soar Valley’s up and coming musical ‘Beauty and the Beast.’

Congratulations for all who were involved in playing or organising our orchestra concert on Friday 30th March 2012, the junior orchestra sounded great and the senior orchestra played better than ever! SVMC's very own Musical Theatre extravaganza this year is Disney's Beauty and the Beast. A colourful and musical performance for all the family with many of your favourite Disney songs.
